The High Friction Surfacing Association
The HFSA is a UK highways trade association which is funded through its membership.
The HFSA provides a font of knowledge to clients and also, a
vehicle for membership liaison with their overseeing bodies, the
Highways Agency and the BBA.
The HFSA originally approached Pelican Solutions about the
technical authoring for their website development. The HFSA is self
funded and with limited budgets, but needed an informative site
with maximum impact at low cost.
Once the HFSA recognised that Pelican Solutions were able to
provide a one-stop-shop facility to produce the whole website, the
decision to place the project with Pelican was an easy one. To view

Within 24 hours of appointment, Pelican produced a questionnaire
for members to build up a database of detailed information and
photographs. Before all the relevant information was collected, the
project team began work on the website programming from
scratch.
Co-ordinating responses from a busy membership was not simple.
These problems had been anticpated and Pelican worked tirelessly to
collate late information.

The project included all aspects of the finished product. Technical
authoring and photo editing were completed in-house, enabling the
delivery of a fully functional website, on time and to budget.
The client had spent the past two years trying to get the website
re-developed and congratulated us on the completed project.
